She is survived by: her adoptive daughters, Helen Boyd (Dean) and Jessica Whalen (Chris); her grandchildren, Serenity Whalen and Gabe Whalen of Martinsville; her extended family, Virginia Ann Dudley (Allen) of Rocky Mount, Darla Crigger of Martinsville and Rebecca Sue Gilbert (Maddie) of Gloucester; and her close friends, Shanna Smith, Carolinians, Jack and Linda Fowler Davis of Dobson. She is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
