She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Hylton Hagwood and Martha Ruth Reynolds Hagwood; her son Herman Thomas Hagwood; and her siblings, Bessie Reynolds, Annie Hairston, Shirley Hagwood, Eva Hairston, Thomas Hagwood and Richard Hagwood.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ann Hagwood, Melissa H. Preston (Ronald), Montreia H. Purcell (Joshua), James Gregory Hagwood and Carl Edward Hagwood; and her sister Carrie Elizabeth Penn. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
