He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Phillips and Lula Martin Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Judy Phillips; his children, Lanny Thomas Phillips (Margie) of Jackson Springs, NC and Lynne Barber (Thomas) of Asheboro; and his sister Clara Mallard of Jackson Springs. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
