She was predeceased by: her husband James Derrick Law; her grandparents, Lucy Dodson Moon, James Dodson, Sr, Irene and Will Mose Cook, Sr.; her parents-in-law, Johnny James and Louise Law; and her brother-in-law Timothy Law.
She is survived by: her parents, Will Mose Cook and Vivian Dodson Cook; her children, Shacara Dodson (Gregory) and Corenzo Gamble (Sierra); her siblings, Christopher Dodson (Shannon), Irvin Dodson (Tara), Will Cook, Jr. (Sharnette) and Sherickia Dalton (Victor); her sister-in-law Aster Renee Law; her aunts and uncles, Jennifer Dodson (James), Christine Cook, Connie Jones, Dorothy Kidd, Annie Hairston (Harry), Ruby Walton, Elenora Walton, Tommie Dodson (Faith) and James Dodson (Robin); her grandchildren, Kai, Nahla and Nahiim; her sister Melissa Dodson; and her godchildren, Corin Midgett (Steve), Nate, Ieshia Mckenzie, Chonda and Charniece Stulz. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
