We bid farewell to Shirley Sanders (Martinsville, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 17, 2025 at the age of 85. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gary; her father Charlie Joyce; her mother-in-law Annie Lee; and her siblings, Charlie Jr. and Barbara Jean.
She is survived by: her children, Kim, Michelle, Kevin and Paul. She is also survived by grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church (5232 Preston Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112).
