She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Emmett Carter, Sr. and Mary Alice Carter; her husband Sam William Adams; and her siblings, Barbara Carter Penn, Henry E. Carter, Jr., Leroy Carter, Herbert C. Carter and Marvin Carter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Drucilla Marsh (Tim), Jacqueline Adams, Janet Clodfelter (Fredrick) and Deborah Adams Moore; and her siblings, Patricia Marsh (Vic), Rudolph Carter (Rudy) and Donald Ray Carter. She is also survived by two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
