Sherman Willie Gravely Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sherman Willie Gravely of Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on January 17, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gravely and Virginia Pearl Martin Gravley; his wife Jeanette Hairston Gravely; his son Kenneth Hairston (Sherwin Gravely); and his siblings, Annie Mae Gravely, Doretha Starling, Katherine Hairston, Richard Gravely and Raymond Gravely.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cassandra Hairston, Shelby Waller and Sheila Gravely; and his brothers, Harry Gravely (Jackie) and John Gravely (Patricia). He is also survived by four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
