He is survived by: his wife Ann Wells Meeks; his children, Michael Lewis Meeks (Teri), Susan Meeks Shuford and Nicole Meeks Maxey of Martinsville; and his grandchildren, Nathan Shuford, Danielle Maxey, Shelly Ann Meeks, Matthew Meeks, Ashley Murray (James) and Austin Brackney (Katie).
