He is survived by: his children, Melissa Price of Greensboro, NC, Damon Brown Price of Bronx, NY, Deron Sweazie, DeSean Sweazie of Kansas City, MO, Azeenauddina Price Yominmou (Blanchard) of Brooklyn, NY, Samiyyah Price (Jacques) of Brooklyn, NY, Ishaq Price of Brooklyn, NY and Aamir Price (Tyesha) of Brooklyn, NY; his former wife Renee Price of Brooklyn, NY; and his siblings, Elder Annie P. "Beck" Schoefield of Yonkers, NY, Blanche Hairston of Martinsville, VA, William C. Price (Jean) of Martinsville, VA and James C. Schoolfield (Jincy) of Martinsville, VA. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren.

“Robert was related to me on my biological father's side, Callandus Hairston (deceased). When my sister & I were teenagers, we would go to his salon called TruDteam in Martinsville. He was extremely fast. By the time he was finished, we had white people hair (silky & bouncy). Robert, you were truly an amazing hair stylist here & New York. You've gain your wings, so fly & high with the angels. May God continue to bless Bootsy & the Price/Hairston families. Love always, Tammy Dillard”
