He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carl Hall and Hattie Newman Hall; his wife Verona Pulliam Hall; and his siblings, Edith McEntire and Burton Hall.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Joan Cecil of Martinsville; his daughters, Robin Morgan (Jon) of Atlanta and Terry Jamerson (Phillip) of Appomattox; his nephew Stephen Cecil (Beverly) of Martinsville; his great-niece Katherine; his great-nephew Jackson; his grandchildren, Miles, Jonathan Morgan of Atlanta, Charlotte Morgan of Atlanta, Alex Williamson (Charles) of Atlanta, Melissa Jamerson of New York City, Brittney Zimniwicx (Matthew) of Beaufort and Trevor Jamerson (Komal) of Blacksburg; and his great grandchildren, Liam and Clifton.

The family suggest memorials be directed to Starling Avenue Baptist Church in Martinsville or to the Bulldog Booster Club.
