He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Winfred Hartis and Mary "Lorene" Overby Hartis; his wife Rebecca Via "Becky" Hartis; and his grandparents, John Franklin Hartis, Maude St. Clari Hartis, Gladys Bowling Overby and John Franklin Overby.
He is survived by: his daughter Sara Hartis Roetken (Chris) of Martinsville, VA..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Martinsville Chapel (1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA 24115). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
