She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl H. Hairston and Dave W. Hairston; and her husband James H. Rucker. She is survived by: her children, Ricky Rucker of Fieldale, VA, Wayne Rucker of Martinsville, VA, Lori Rucker of Danville, VA and Collette Mchaffey (Keith) of Katy, TX; and her sister Maxine Hairston of Martinsville, VA. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
