He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Carter and Alma W. Carter; his son Nathaniel "Wycliffe" Carter, Jr.; and his siblings, Frederick Carter, Jr., Howard Carter, Timothy Carter, Joan Brown, Jean Clemmons, Bertha Hairston and Berdie Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys P. Carter; his son Sandy T. Carter (Kathy); his sisters, Janice Kirby (John), Ada Carter, Siberia Hairston and Senora Mahan; his sisters-in-law, Doris Carter, Elizabeth Carter, Sally Mahan and Barbara Bleecker; and also Bishop J. C. Richardson, Jr.. He is also survived by four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
In accordance with the CDC, a face covering and social distancing will be required.
