With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nannie Mae Farmer of Martinsville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis B. Moxley Sr. and Effie Moore Moxley; her husband John Byrd Farmer; her daughter Effie Ann Farmer; and her brothers, Douglas W. Moxley, Michael Moxley, Curtis B. Moxley Jr. and Franklin Moxley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lucy Lee Farmer of Martinsville and Dollie Glenn of Stuart, Virginia; her grandchildren, Dustin, Melissa and Steven Jr. "Chub"; and her great grandchildren, Raygan Lynn, Joanna Mae and Justin, Jr..
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bassett Funeral Service (3665 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
