It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Penn Clark (Martinsville, Virginia), who passed away on January 31, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Walter Penn and Carolyn Harris Penn; her spouse Rev. MacArthur Clark; her son Broderick Derwin Carter; and her siblings, Inez Penn Mitchell, George Walter Penn, Jr and Richard Kermit Penn.
She is survived by: her children, Regina Carter Cobbs, Bernita Carter Jamison (Cornelius), Kenneth E. Carter (Sherry), James A. Clark (Syreeta) of Martinsville, Virginia and John E. Carter of Greensboro, NC; and her sisters, Virginia P. Burnett (Earl) and Wanda P. Breeden of Richmond, Virginia. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
