She was predeceased by: her parents, John Matthew Hairston and Thelma Philpott Hairston. She is survived by: her husband Hezekiah Dillard; her children, Donna D. Brown (Darrell) of Houston, TX, Debbie D. McGhee (Marion) of Bassett, VA and Jackie R. Dillard (Shirl) of Martinsville, VA; and her siblings, Marion Carter of Martinsville, VA and Ricky Hairston of Roanoke, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hairston Funeral Home (301 Fayette St, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gethsemane Pentecostal Holiness Church (2380 Blackberry Rd, Bassett, VA 24055).
