She was predeceased by: her parents, Clara Witcher Adkins and Archie Adkins; her husband Archie Swanson; and her foster son Ronald Hairston. She is survived by: her sister Inez Parchment of Mt. Laura, NJ; her foster son Donald Hairston of Axton, VA; her nieces, Deborah Hairston of Collinsville, VA, Linda Stockton of Axton, VA and Cheryl Rogers of Axton, VA; and also Lamont Hairston. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
