With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ann Mason (Martinsville, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 20, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bishop James C. Richardson, Sr. and Margaret Thompson Richardson; her husband William H. Mason; and her sisters, Jeanette Millner and Lucy Pauline Jackson.
She is survived by: her daughter Renada M. Ogryzek (Robert); her grandchildren, Morgan K. Ogryzek of New York and Mason R. Ogryzek; her brother Bishop James C. Richardson, Jr. (Gloria) of Martinsville, VA; her great-aunt Mary Daniels of Winston Salem, NC; and her cousin Marie Daniels (Constance Richardson) of Winston Salem, NC.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hairston Funeral Home (301 Fayette St, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 2:30 PM, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM.
