She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Jennings and Lera H. Rakes; her husband Calvin F. Nolen; her daughter Janet Lynn Nolen; and her half-siblings, Kermit, Herbert, Roy Rakes, Dorothy Morrison and Maybelle Flora.
She is survived by: her daughter June N. Slaughter (Ray) of Martinsville, VA; her stepson Calvin Wayne Nolen (Bev) of Millmont, PA; her sisters, Sylvia Scruggs of Sacramento, CA and Beatrice Yvonne Maxwell of Las Vegas, NV; her sisters-in-law, Geraldine Scott of Ferrum, VA, Geneva Martin of Collinsville, VA and Norene Bussey of Ferrum, VA; her granddaughter Holly S. Haines (Luke) of Huntersville, NC; and her great grandchildren, Addison, Ainsley and Amelia Haines of Huntersville, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
