She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis James and Bertha Sears James; her husband Harry Martin Thorbjornsen; her daughter Mary Thorbjornsen Jennings; and her brother Samuel James.
She is survived by: her daughter Joy Nance (Keith); her grandson Jordan Nance of Reidsville; her sister-in-law Judy James; and her nephew Mark James (Robin) of Culpeper. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
