It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Edwin Morrison (Martinsville, Virginia), who passed away on March 10, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Morrison and Mary Fannie Leftwich Morrison; his wife Betty Hairston Morrison; and his siblings, Ida Martin, Lillie B. Martin, Alice Martin, Eugene Morrison and John J. Morrison.

He is survived by: his daughter Mahogany Hairston of Eden, NC; and his siblings, Shirley A. Wilson of Danville, VA, Brenda M. Akers of Martinsville, VA, Willie L. Morrison of Cascade, VA, Kerry Wayne of Cascade, VA, Harvey L. Morrison of Danville, VA, Barry Morrison, Jr. of Martinsville, VA and Antonio Morrison of Martinsville, VA. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In accordance with the CDC, a face covering and social distancing is required.
