She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Carl Cecil and Berth Rife Cecil; her son Johnny Thorton; and her sister Myrtle Vanderweil. She is survived by: her husband David Wade; her sons, Darrell Thorton and Robert Thorton; her sisters, Nancy Mithem, Jean Conner, Judy Hartwell, Karen Padget and Vivian Slone; and her granddaughters, Kayla Thorton and Olivia Thorton.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
