She was predeceased by: her parents, Susie Cook Smith and Roy Cook; and her husband Curtis Hairston. She is survived by: her children, Lynon J. Walker of Martinsville, VA, Dennis Walker (Donna) of Martinsville, VA and Helen Hairston of South Boston; her stepchildren, Belma Hairston of Martinsville, VA, Ronald Hairston of Martinsville, VA, David Hairston of Martinsville, VA and Ray Hairston of Martinsville, VA; and her sisters, Lessie Holland of Martinsville, VA, Geraldine Adams of Hampton, VA and Irene Walker of Martinsville, VA.. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
