He is survived by: his wife Linda Akers; his children, Arlinda Jones of Boones Mill, VA and Chad Akers (Deborah) of Snow Creek, VA; his siblings, Mildred Swinney of Axton, VA, Roy Akers of California and Allen Bryant of Bassett, VA.; his grandchildren, Samuel Jones, Chelsea Fitzgerald, Skylar Akers and Landon Akers; and his great grandchild Wiley Fitzgerald.
