He is survived by: his mother Nancy Hazel Parker Bates; his wife Debbie Bates; his children, Britaney Fife and Colin Walker (Katie); his grandsons, Asher Fife and Graham Walker; and his siblings, Barbara Mays (Ricky), Kenneth Bates (Lynda) and Michael Bates (Joy).
