It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Odell Barker of Martinsville, Virginia, born in Henry County, Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Obie Barker and Ethel Smart; and his brother Jerry Barker. He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Gauldin Barker of Cascade; his daughters, Lisa Davis (Sammy) of Richmond, VA, Amy Freitag (Ryan) of Clovis, CA, Rana Iten (JJ) of Clemmons, NC and Dell Bailey (Richard) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Tripp Batliner of Clovis, CA, John Barker Davis of Richmond, VA, Skylar Bailey of Anchorage, AK and Ellyn Iten of Clemmons, NC; and his siblings, Judy Eanes (Wayne) of Hope Mills, NC, Linda Reed (Noel) of Martinsville, VA and Jimmy Barker (Louise) of Martinsville, VA..
