He is survived by : his wife Mary Wade McCullough; his son Joseph Calvin McCullough, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; his stepson Andre Hairston of Martinsville, Virginia; his daughter Kayle Wade of Eden; his siblings, Emma Stain of Stoneville, Claudine McCullough of Stoneville, Gwendolyn Belthrop (Tommy) of Stoneville and William McCullough (Carolyn) of Stoneville; his sister-in-law Letricia McCullough; his aunt Mary Jane Wade of Martinsville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Tatyanna McCullough, Trey'von Via and Danielle Via; and his great grandchild Graclyn Via. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fulton-Walton Memorial Chapel (417 Price St, Eden, NC 27288). Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Judah House of Worship (3280 Mt Cross Rd, Danville, VA 24540). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
