He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earl Higgins and Ola Mary Andrews Higgins; his wife Mary Campbell Higgins; his siblings, Evelyn Andrews Higgins Fender and Daryl M. Higgins; and his siblings-in-law, Roy L. Fender and Gail McKinney.
He is survived by: his son Joseph Scott Higgins; his granddaughter Audrey Katelynn Higgins (Katie); and his niece Mary Catherine Campbell (Cathy). He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
