It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Robert Armstrong Sr. of Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Jon Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jon Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Jack Richard; and his son Jon Robert Armstrong, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Jenkins Armstrong; his daughter Kimberly Hairfield (Barry); his sister Loyis Armstrong Horton; his daughter-in-law Ashlee Jamison Armstrong; and his grandchildren, Jamison Mackenzie Armstrong (Coleman Robertson), Jon "Jack" Robert Armstrong III (Julie Rhodes) and Benjamin Harris Armstrong. He is also survived by niece & nephew.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McKee-Stone Funeral Home (109 Broad St, Martinsville, VA 24112). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
