He is survived by: his children, Lee Cox of Danville, Virginia, Calie Cox of Bassett, Virginia, Amy Cox of Collinsville, Virginia and Jackie Fields of Pennsylvania; and his siblings, James David Burnette, Ronnie Cox, Rebecca Thacker, Carolyn Beal, Cindy Spence and Patrica Cox. He is also survived by several grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
