He was predeceased by: his daughter Betsy Shields; and his brother Jake Richards. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Epling Richards; his children, Rhonda Shelton, Becky Cox (Garry) and Patrick Stanley (Laura); and his siblings, Pete King (Nona) and June Allen (Mark). He is also survived by three grandchildren and, one great-grandchild.
