He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul Chappell, Sr. and Lillian Reynolds Chappell. He is survived by: the mother of his children Elizabeth Stanley Chappell; his children, Sherry Chappell Vaughan (Brian), Steven Chappell and Scott Chappell; his brother Donald Chappell (Sandra); his grandsons, Brian "Keith" Vaughan, Jr. (Haley) and Brandon Vaughan (Kylie); and his great grandchildren, Emily Vaughan, Dylan Vaughan and Lizzie Vaughan.
