He was predeceased by: his parents, James David Draper, Sr. and Ann Hairston Draper; and his sister Carolyn Hairston. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor "Bonnie" Bowles Draper; his children, Shamina Draper Dillard (Mark) of Roanoke, James "JayDee" Draper, III of Martinsville and Patrick J. Draper of Martinsville; his sisters, Linda Draper Jackson of Richmond and Roma Reid-Cross of Martinsville; and his grandchildren, Jailyn Draper of Martinsville, Jaimyiah Draper of Greensboro, JaiMilla Draper of Winston-Salem, Jordan Draper of Greensboro, Reagan J. Dillard of Roanoke and Morgan J. Dillard of Roanoke. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
