It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Clyde Perdue (Martinsville, Virginia), who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lewis Perdue and Nannie Belva Blankenship Perdue of Rocky Mount, VA.; his wife Ruth Perdue; and his siblings, Buck, Sam, Reva and Ethel Pearl.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Edwards, Sharon Shelton and Michelle Perdue; his grandchildren, Jessica Hyler, David Handy and Courtney Shelton; his great grandchildren, Haylie McGuire and Waylon Shelton; his brother Jay Perdue; and his granddaughter Morgan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
