He was predeceased by: his parents, Hattie Moore Cochran and Paul Earnest Cochran; his wife Shirley Ethel Denton Cochran; his son Robert Alan Cochran; and his siblings, Mary Sue Richardson (James), Fannie "Mick" Cochran, Evelyn Ragan, Paul "Dink" Cochran and Samuel Cochran.
He is survived by: his son James Cochran, Jr. (Kim); his sister Naomi Krisock (Bob); his grandchildren, Kristi Nicole Collins, Toni Marie Noe (Eric), Mallory Cochran and Adam Cochran; and his great grandchildren, Holly Jade Noe and Joseph Trey Collins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
