He was predeceased by: his father Homer Allen Croom, Sr.; and his sister Barbara C. Beck. He is survived by: his wife Freeda Jones Croom; and his son Homer Allen "Trip" Croom III (Valerie).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
