It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Barber Cole (Martinsville, Virginia), born in Eden, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Barber and Myrtle Vaughan Sigmon Barber; her husband Charles Howard Cole, Sr.; her son Charles H. Cole, Jr.; and her siblings, Doris Jean Barber, Bonnie B. East, Johnny, Jerry and Curtis Barber.

She is survived by: her sons, Cecil Daniel "Danny" Cole and Robert Wayne Cole; and her siblings, Faye B. Woods, Allen Barber and Ronnie Barber. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
