It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Eggleston Clark (Martinsville, Virginia), born in Henry County, Virginia, who passed away on July 25, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Eggleston and Cora Lou Eggleston; her husband James E. Clark; her children, Martha Clark, Delois Agnew, James "Spooky" Clark, Ronnie Clark, George Clark and Tony Clark; and her siblings, Fannie Flakes, Julie Smith, Hattie Bell Clark, Cora M. Brown, Thelma Hairston, John Lewis Eggleston, Edward Eggleston, George Willie Eggleston, Tas Eggleston and Bruce Eggleston.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dianne Lee (Ralph) of Washington, D. C., Evangelee Martin of Martinsville, VA and Vickie Draper (Tony) of Martinsville, VA. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, eight great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
