In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy George Washington leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though George Washington may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his father G. T. "Cap'n Til" Lester; his son George W. Lester, III; and his stepdaughter Amie Leigh Cotton. He is survived by: his wife Lee; his daughters, Elizabeth Walsh of Lynchburg, Ann Papadakis of Melbourne and Sara Jedelsky of Monroe, N. C.; his stepdaughter Tracy Turlington of Barboursville; and his mother-in-law Ina Richmond. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and many other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 325, Dobson, N.C. 27017 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
