He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Gillespie and Frances Davis Gillespie; and his siblings, David Gillespie and Eloise Gillespie. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Gillespie; his siblings, Julius Gillespie, Jr., Madge Robinson, Annie Pearl Addison, Julia Ann Gillespie and Frances L. Shelpher; and his children, Victoria Smith, Nina Maus, Adrianna Gillespie, Geneva Gillespie, Derek Gillespie, Antoine Perez, Isaiah Gillespie and Gary Gillespie. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
