He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gunter Custer of Martinsville, VA; his son William Kelly Custer (Jennifer) of Martinsville, VA; his sisters, Vera Littleton of Rocky Mount, VA and Ada Goard of Stanleytown, VA; and his grandchildren, Logan Custer of Martinsville, VA and Abigale Custer of Martinsville, VA..
