It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eloise Mae Hondel Fidell of Martinsville, Virginia, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cora Simmons Hondel and Edward Hondel; her husband George W. Fidell; her daughter Joyce E. Appel; and her siblings, Beatrice Russell, Edward and Wayne Hondel.
She is survived by: her children, William E. Fidell (Mary) and Judith E. Allen; her grandchildren, Jennifer Foster, Patrick Fidell, Brendan Fidell, Angela Appel, Jessica Appel, Michael Appel and Kimberly Appel; and her friend Nancy Hoy. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or to King's Grant Fellowship Fund.
