It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Pruitt Martin (Martinsville, Virginia), who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garnett Pruitt and Oretha Harris Pruitt; her husband Jack Dempsy Martin; and her siblings, Curtis Pruitt and Tilley Wingo.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Dean Pruitt (Sharon), Allen Pruitt, Paula Hankins (Kevin) and Shelly Wilbourne (Forest); and her sisters-in-law, Brenda Pruitt and Carrie Wright. She is also survived by seven great nieces and nephews; and 14 great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Collin-McKee-Stone Funeral Home (109 Broad St, Martinsville, VA 24112).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
