She was predeceased by: her mother Gertrude E. Carter Tarpley Hairston of Wyoming; her stepfather Bishop Robert L. Hairston; her daughter Trevia Carter; and her siblings, Cledith Stockton and Jimmy Tarpley of Baltimore, MD.

She is survived by: her children, Issac Carter (Sharon) of Martinsville, VA, Shaun Bradley of Martinsville, VA and Lori Hairston (Victor) of Martinsville, VA; and her sisters, Frances Pettie of Rock Creek, NJ and Helen Fulber (Rudy) of Inglewood, NJ. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In accordance with the CDC, a face covering and social distancing is required.
