He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. Walker and Ethel Vaughan Walker; his son Alex B. Walker; and his sister Edith Slaughter Maxwell. He is survived by: his wife Gladys; and his daughters, Charlene Bowling (Fred) of Martinsville and Donna Carter (Robert) of Halifax. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the McKee-Stone Funeral Home (109 Broad St, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
