She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Hylton Sr. and Earline Betty Greene Hylton; her siblings, Jessie Hylton Jr. and Carolyn Brooks; and her grandson Damien Hairston.
She is survived by: her daughter Melanie Nicole Hairston; her grandchildren, Kalah Joyce-Wilson, Shanyia Hairston, Myia Pettie, Jahiem Pettie and Cornelius Wilson; her great grandchild Josiah Harris; and her close friend Edward Hairston Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
