She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Carter and Elsie Carter; her siblings, Tony Meeks, Willie Gibson and Faye Anderson; and her daughter Crystal Averet.
She is survived by: her children, Karen and Steven; her husband Earl Donavant; her children, Belinda Murray (Greg), Bridget Donavant, Melissa Weatherford and Adam Donavant; and her siblings, Frankie Carter, Jesse Carter Jr., Rodney Carter, Tim Carter, Doug Carter, MaeDean Simmons, Peggy Wade and Sylvia Bryant. She is also survived by grandchildren; 8 bonus great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and close family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Deborah would have wanted to help others.
