It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dana A. Pettie Sr. of Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dana O. Pettie and Martha Walker Pettie; his wife Helen C. Pettie; and his son Dana A. Pettie, Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Monica Pettie Moyer, Ramona Shelton (Kennon) and Patrick O. Pettie; his brother-in-law Valeiger; his daughters, Montrecia Pettie-Martin (Terry) of Martinsville, VA and Tamesha Pettie-Dowdin (Sandy) of Rocky Mount, VA; his stepdaughter Debra Gravely of Martinsville, VA; and his siblings, Barbara Seay of Bassett, VA, Vina Truitt (Willie) of Hampton, VA, Dorothy Ratliff (Robert) of Martinsville, VA, Mary Gravely (David) of Martinsville, VA, Evelyn Reid (Donald) of Macon, GA, Joseph Pettie (Arvilla) of Martinsville, VA and Douglas Pettie (Barbara) of Hampton, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required.
