She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smallwood and Sonia Hairston; her husband Jimmy Reid; and her brothers, Johnny and Lee Smallwood.
She is survived by: her son Ricardo Ortiz, Jr.; her siblings, Arletta Smallwood Tillman, Patricia Smallwood Liles, Angeleta Smallwood Powers and Danny Smallwood; and her grandchildren, Sonia A. Ortiz, Ricardo Ortiz, IV and Moesha Oats. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
