He was predeceased by: his parents, Scott Lawrence Davis and Blanche Virginia Price Davis; his wife Alice D. Davis; and his siblings, Billy Joe Davis (Cathy), Robert Davis, Gale Davis and Lois Evans.

He is survived by: his children, Wanda Mills (David), Cheryl Davis Martin (Gary) and Scott L. Davis (Joyce); his grandchildren, Jason Mills (Amanda), Kayla Stone (David), Steven Davis, Stacey Davis (Max Hall), Dustin Sheppard (Brittany), Cortney Wall and Colby Wall (Miranda); his great grandchildren, Emma Grace, Hunner Faith, Sadie Rain, Odin Cloud, Nova Star and Willow Marie; and his brother-in-law Eugene Evans (Chiweenie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Martinsville Henry County SPCA, 132 Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville, Va 24112.
